Overage is frequently the result of late enrolment in school. Shapar is an industrial area with a range of industries, people from other parts of India migrate to the region in search of employment. This flow of labour had caused growth in slums. Lack of access to necessities has further deteriorated the living conditions. Children constitute 30% of the slum population in the Shaper Village. To reach out to out-of-school and in schoolchildren residing in a slum area of shapar we are running community classes, approximately 120 school drop outs are availing the benefits.
